The University of Santiago de Compostela (Galiza, Spain) has decided to apply to the Galician Government for a “Parga Condal” contract in the area of Logic and Analytic Philosophy; 25 candidates will be
selected out of 60 candidates in different areas. The person selected by the Department of Logic and Moral Philosophy will be one of the sixty applicants.

Candidates must satisfy the following requisites:
-They have to have obtained their PhD. between January the first
1998, and January the first 2006 (date in which they defended their
PhD.)
-In case they did not get their doctorate in Spain, the title should
be convalidated. (?homologado?)
-Candidates can come from any country
-They must have done postdoctoral studies outside Galiza (Spain) for
at least 24 months after they got their doctor degree.
-This requisite will not be compulsory for those candidates who got
their doctorate degree in a non-Spanish university, or in case they
can prove they suffer from some kind of handicap equal or superior to
65%.
-Candidates should not have enjoyed a contract of the type (”Ramón y
Cajal” or “Parga Pondal” for longer than 6 months).

The contract will last for three years and it could be extended for
two more years. The candidates will be paid 36.000 euros per year,
including social costs.
